Our greatest goal is to give you the healthy, straight, beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel.
Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible. We utilize the latest technology, and offer a variety of safe and gentle treatment options to give you the customized, individual care you deserve.
What happens at your first visit will depend upon your needs. If you are interested in braces, and simply want to get an idea of what would be recommended for you, we would invite you for a complimentary, no-obligation consultation (please see below for more information!). If you are a looking for a general dentistry office, you will typically begin with a comprehensive exam by one of our doctors as well as any necessary xrays and often a cleaning. If you are experiencing discomfort, this will be our primary concern. Everything we do is truly all about you!
Thinking about braces? Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
Your initial braces consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Perform a complete oral exam, with X-rays if needed, to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Help you create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all the information you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our practice to schedule your initial, complimentary consultation.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment and Dr. Nagy will place your new orthodontic appliance. This appointment generally takes about an hour, and during this time our team will be available to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.
Visiting the orthodontist about every four to eight weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. The good news is, our customized braces allow us to see you at less frequent intervals, meaning less time in the chair for you throughout your treatment! Our practice will work with you to make sure your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know which days and times work best for you.
We understand that “life happens”! If you’re running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. For the courtesy of our other patients, we do ask that you try to reschedule appointments at least 2 business days in advance. When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice and our friendly scheduling coordinator will assist you. We’re looking forward to working with you.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to remain up-to-date with cleanings and all preventative dentistry throughout your orthodontic treatment. Many of our patients tell us time and time again how much they love being able to schedule these preventative appointments in our office at the same time as their orthodontic treatment! However, if you are a patient in another general dentist office and come to our office for orthodontic treatment only, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best possible care.
